SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN

Finding solution for a more sustainable supply chain in both upstream and downstream activities, is an important part of the journey toward a more sustainable future. This includes both environmental and social aspects, so we can continue to produce and sell quality products while respecting our planet and the people involved in our business.

Suppliers & Production

We work closely with carefully selected suppliers around the world. Together we constantly improve materials, production processes and working conditions in the factories. Our Supplier Code of Conduct is specifically tailored to our demands and helps us structure this improvement. It ensures our suppliers respect human rights, labor rights, working conditions, and environmental protection according to the UN Global Compact’s Tens Principles.

Suppliers are also restricted from using hazardous chemicals and substances listed by the European Union Directive, REACH, and must reach the minimum requirements in the Sweden Textile Water Initiative (STWi) guidelines.

The demands are controlled by third party audits and we work together with our suppliers to make sure they have the knowledge and capacity to comply with our Code of Conduct. Our suppliers’ factories are also audited yearly according to Amfori or Sedex’s standards and we follow-up the results closely together.

Transport

During 2020 we shifted a large share of the product transports to our warehouse from flight to other modes of transport - leading to a reduction of the share of flight transport by 60 percentage points from 2019 to 2021.

Our goal is to reduce the share of transport by flight to 2% of all transport by 2025.

We have also worked together with our delivery partners to find the most sustainable delivery alternatives for our customers. Read more about this below.

Traceability

The ability to trace back information in our supply chain is crucial in order to make well-grounded decisions.

We therefore work on increasing our supply chain traceability and have set up a goal to reach 80% traceability by 2025.

This means our products should, on average, be traceable to at least 80% of their value chain, where 100% means we have access to all information about where exactly all the product’s components are from, all the way down to raw material.
